Halloween Saturday
The first performance of Flux Gourmet Lab’s Rats! program was followed by an interesting Q&A with director Peter Strickland. At LAB111 was the talk Anatomy Goes to the Movies by Eleanor Crook, which was attended by enthusiastic visitors. The program Myths of the World: Hong Kong, brought us a screening of the classic Infernal Affairs restored in 4K. There was also a talk by Grady Hendrix, Hong Kong Doesn’t Exist, who gave a tour of the films of Hong Kong and how the tiny colony built a kingdom of dreams out of empty land and shopping malls.
Science and fun Sunday
Today there was an extra screening of the Korean film Hunt, directed and starring Lee Jung-Jae. The film was free to see at the FilmHalls at 11:30 a.m. Eleanor Crook visits Imagine again today to present the Workshop: Create Your Own Wax Creature twice at LAB111. At the OBA at 14:00, in De Hallen Cafe Belcampo, you can attend a debate on Digital Colonialism. The talk The Rough Guide to Hong Kong Identity and Popular Culture will take place at the OBA Theater at 20:00. There will be several illustrious guest speakers to discuss the past, present and future of Hong Kong identity. For Kids’ Halloween, there will be a screening of The Addams Family at the FilmHallen at 11:30. At Things to Come: Human Augumentation, Imagine’s annual scientific program will focus on the marriage between the human body and technological advancement. The panel will be shown in LAB111 at 14:15 and is part of the Lab Rats! program.
