Volunteers

We Need You!

Are you a cinephile? Are horror, fantasy, science fiction and psychological thrillers your favourite genres? Would you like to experience working ‘behind the scenes’ at a large, international film festival? Then join our team as an Imagine Fantastic Film Festival volunteer from October 30 to November 9!

As an Imagine volunteer you will be representing the festival, working in a close team of passionate film fanatics just like you! You will help with the build-up and breakdown, you’ll supervise the VR-experiences or serve as the point of contact for visitors, guests and filmmakers at the Information desks, as Host Car Service or as a runner. Or put your content creation skills to use as a Social Media Reporter. Some roles, such as Film attendant, allow you to watch a lot of films. And outside of your volunteer duties, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the festival yourself.

For the ultimate Imagine experience, you will be working 4 shifts or more (2 shifts is the minimum). Each shift generally lasts 4 to 8 hours. The build-up occurs in the week before the festival. On Thursday, October 30, the opening film will be shown at the FilmHallen. After that, the festival really kicks off, running from Friday, October 31 to Saturday, November 8, at the FilmHallen, LAB111, and Hal West. On Sunday November 9, the best films of the festival will be shown at LAB111. Breakdown will start the same day.

As a thank you for your help, you will receive free access to many festival films and VR experiences, an exclusive Imagine crew T-shirt, and discounts on Imagine merchandise. We will be organising a volunteer Kick-off on Friday, October 17. During the festival, there will also be social events and get-togethers, like a Halloween party, a karaoke night and closing drinks. You will also be invited to the editions of Club Imagine in March and June. And of course, you will be well taken care of during your shift.

Excited? Sign up through the online form and we will contact you shortly. If you’re a new volunteer, we will also invite you for an initial introduction to talk about what you would like to do. Please note: the minimum age to volunteer at Imagine is 16!

Would you like to work at the festival with your association, club, or fellow students? We’re happy to discuss collaboration possibilities.

Know somebody who’d also make a great volunteer? Sharing = caring!
