Job descriptions

Before the festival starts we like to be visible all around the city. We will provide you with a list of locations where you can drop off flyers as promotional materials. You will do this before the festival and a bicycle will be needed. You can choose this option on the application form and at least three other options of the functions that you want to do during the festival.

Build-up and dismantling

The festival locations will need some build up work and preparations before the festival on monday and tuesday. You will help with the build-up and the decorating of the festival in De Filmhallen and Lab 111. We also need some help with the build-up of a VR exhibition. Technical experience is not necessary but may come in handy. Afterwards you will help with the dismantling and cleaning up.

Film attendant

You will check the tickets when the visitors arrive at the cinema. At the start of the movie you will check the quality of the movie (subtitles, ratio, sound). On the last day of the festival, you will help the dismantling at and cleaning up of the screening rooms. Do you like to welcome our audience and assist in the screening rooms? Then apply to be a film attendant!

As our runner, you will be guided to do multiple chores at the festival, mostly supervised and instructed by the volunteer coordinator or the floor manager. The jobs include running for errands, helping at other positions and making sure the festival space is clean. You’re expected to be flexible, and able to quickly adapt to different situations.

Supervisor VR Program

This year we are again offering a VR program which contains an exhibition. As a volunteer you will support, guide and inform the visitors before and during several VR experiences. It is not a problem if you do not have previous experience with VR glasses, because there will be a general instruction if needed.
