Here we go: from today, you can get tickets for the Imagine Fantastic Film Festival 2026! Hopefully you’ve already learnt the programme by heart, because there’s so much to see, hear and experience this year. This year, Imagine will be taking place from 29 October to 8 November. Here’s a list of this year’s highlights to inspire you. Or tick a theme filter in the overview to find films and specials that’ll teach you something, such as the programmes Ghost in the Feed, Magical Realism in Latin America or Expanded: The New Flesh, or the retrospectives of our guests Kiyoshi Kurosawa and Julie Corman.
So – fancy an evening of early internet horror, a magical-realist Mexican fairy tale in 4K, a unique workshop on building soundscapes, or a journey (or two) through the depths of cinema? Or would you rather win a horror quiz, cry at the moon dressed for the occasion, hear juicy anecdotes from your film heroes, or get to know the very latest Dutch genre filmmakers? Imagine has it all. And we haven’t even mentioned the 77 ‘regular’ films in the programme yet, from Hope to Hot Spot and from Drag to Donkey Princess. It’s a real treat this year!
How to get tickets for Imagine 2026
Tickets can be bought or booked from today through the websites of our festival venues, FilmHallen and LAB111, which you’ll be redirected to from our programme page. During the festival, tickets will also be on sale on site at the FilmHallen and LAB111. Tickets for Imagine Expanded (our immersive/VR programme) are only available online and on-site at the FilmHallen.
Film screenings, VR and specials cost €13.50. If you’re under 12, a student or hold a Stadspas, Uitpas or CJP, you’re entitled to a discount. With a Cinevillepas, you can book free tickets for almost everything at Imagine – only for the Darkfield Workshop, the Film Quiz and the Halloween party do Cineville members need to buy a standard ticket. The VHS pop-up in the basement of LAB111 and The Rough Guide to Magical Realism are free for everyone.
