Theme: General Festival
During the 10-day fantastic film festival, Imagine Fantastic Film Festival offers the latest, best and most special in science fiction, fantasy, horror and related genres.
We are back for this 39th edition with a full program to be proud of! It is our second year in the FilmHallen and LAB111 locations and we have four screens with more than enough to fill them.
In addition to feature films and short films, the 2023 program consists of four pillars: the annual theme program (Fantastic Alchemy), our country focus Myths of the World (Iran), Imagine Expanded (Virtual Alchemy) and Imagine Industry.
The general program includes feature films;
- Bitten – boarding school girl falls for 200 year old man in sexiest horror of the year
- Concrete Utopia – High Rise meets Triangle of Sadness in Korean Oscar entry
- Dream Scenario – dreams become nightmares, with Nicolas Cage in top form
- The Exorcist 50th Anniversary – half a century old, still at the top
- Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person – Best Picture Winner, Venice Days
- Kubi – Takeshi Kitano is back, behind and in front of the camera
- Tiger Stripes – rebellious teenage Muslim women in Dutch co-production

FANTASTIC THEMES
Imagine Fantastic Film Festival has multiple themes. A general genre-wide program, a country focus, a special, an Expanded/VR program, and the professionals program under the theme ‘Industry’.
