Library of Dreams is made up out of real dreams, gathered from 1930s Germany, Stalin’s Soviet Union, and Russia since it invaded Ukraine. This surreal journey allows you to experience what it feels like when totalitarianism seeps into our private spheres. The visuals are reminiscent of Metropolis, The Great Dictator and Soviet propaganda posters; a dream from 1936 Berlin, replaying in your Amsterdam headset in 2026, is truly a ‘ghost in the feed’, tapping into this year’s main festival theme perfectly – and following up on last year’s theme, 1984: ReImagined. Our dreams are the very first feed, a channel nobody controls, where the things a regime tries to suppress get transmitted anyway.
Los Angeles, 1981. Four bodies lay slain in a house on Wonderland Avenue, and the trail runs through drugs, gangs and a fallen adult film star who might be a witness, a suspect or a scapegoat. Piece by piece, you’ll rebuild the scene and follow the night towards what really happened.
Thirty years after the Guatemalan civil war and genocide, a former army commander is convicted for his participation but escapes sentencing. He withdraws with his family in their luxurious home. But when Alma, a mysterious Indigenous servant, arrives, the atrocities of the past begin to haunt them.
A marriage on the brink of collapse becomes very, very complicated when a rural getaway traps a couple inside the same endlessly repeated five minutes. Every reset creates new possibilities, fresh disasters, and increasingly idle attempts to understand the rules before time runs out – again.
After three women are found strangled in their own homes, the Boston police set up a special force to capture the killer. With very few clues to follow, they start by arresting known delinquents, until a coincidence puts them on the right track.
