Playwright Madoka and musician Kazuma sit in cinemas three kilometres apart, each watching the other’s life unfold. Makoto Ueda, who wrote Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes and River, hops into the director's seat with another ingenious, precision-tooled science-fiction comedy. Swapping his signature time loops for interlocking silver screens, Ueda transforms two tiny cinemas into parallel narrative portals, piling complication upon complication without sacrificing warmth or clarity. Actors Marika Ito and Kai Inowaki face the absurdity with irresistible charm, answering each playful rupture with wonderfully creative frustration.
