The second DARKFIELD Radio work included in our retrospective, VISITORS is a reflection on our irrepressible desire to touch, and on why the dead find so little comfort among the living. Audio artists DARKFIELD play distance like an instrument – a whisper in your ear and a voice from far away – until the room fills with longing and unease. It’s a seance held in your own home, tender and invasive at once, feeling its way along the thin membranes between living and dead, presence and absence, dread and comfort.
