The sheriff of a small village is told that people and animals have suddenly gone missing as slimy red holes start to appear all over town. While she tries to figure out what’s going on, the remaining townspeople start taking matters into their own hands.
After Mother of Flies (Imagine 2025), The Adams Family is back with this small-town mystery. As always, it’s a family affair, with all members taking up various roles in cast and crew. The first hour of The Glorious Dead is more or less straightforward, after which the film descends into darker and weirder territory, like Fargo on acid. At its core stands Toby Poser’s bewildered (and increasingly bruised and battered) sheriff, with Zelda Adams as her deputy. While the reveal may come as a surprise, it leads to a wtf-finale, wrapping the story up in style.
