Silent hero Aatami is back to confront a Red Army baddie in this action-packed, violent sequel.

Aatami returns to his home in Karelia, where his family was killed. He dismantles the house and loads it onto a truck, to rebuild it elsewhere. But the Red Army commander who did the killing hunts him down, leading to a brutal cross-country chase.

Three years after the savage first chapter of Sisu, Jorma Tommila is back as Aatami, the quiet Finn who has few words but plenty of fighting spirit. As in part one, very little time is wasted before the spectacle starts. Stephen Lang is excellent as Aatami’s nemesis, giving our silent hero something to work with. Backed by the spectacularly rugged north of Finland, this sequel turns the first film’s action ratio up a few notches. It drops the original’s serious parts and embraces complete absurdity, pushing the set pieces and violence to extremes.
