It’s classic cop vs psycho in this breathless 80s chase through brutal nightly New York.

When ruthless psychopath Gus Soltic mistakes the daughter of ex-cop Sean Boyd for the child of a wealthy businessman, the stage is set for a high-stakes chase. Moving through New York at its most menacing, Sean must beat the clock to save his daughter’s life – or he’ll die trying.

Robert Butler’s rarely shown but extraordinary piece of exploitation Night of the Juggler (1980) is an insane ride through a New York hardly seen anymore. This Big Apple is neither classy nor clean – it’s a dangerous place set to harm anyone who dares to enter. A delirious den of dingy deviancy, with inhabitants just as batshit as the city they live in. James Brolin and Cliff Gorman give their all but it’s Night of the Juggler’s stellar cast of supporting character actors that really steal the show as a bunch of memorable low-lives and scumbags. This needs to be seen to be believed.
