A steadily shrinking man must fight for his life in this gripping science-fiction adaptation.

Shipbuilder Paul has a comfortable life on the French coast, but when an inexplicable meteorologic phenomenon causes him to start shrinking, everything changes. In the home he once built for his family, even the most innocent objects suddenly become life-threatening.

The Incredible Shrinking Man (L’homme qui rétrécit) is the latest adventure film from French-Dutch director Jan Kounen (Blueberry), based on Richard Matheson’s classic novel The Shrinking Man. As in the original story, a seemingly playful concept leads to an existential reflection on masculinity, loneliness and the value of life. Jean Dujardin (The Artist) portrays the steadily shrinking man with charm and pathos, defending himself against all kinds of domestic dangers with just a sewing needle. An entertaining ánd brainy film about life and survival.
