This lavish anime film, bursting with color and J-pop, is a lot of bang for your buck. The calmer, rather sapphic final story (Nocturn: En Cette Nuit Grotesque) is voiced entirely by members of the pop group Nogizaka46; the second part, 4649 Girl, is filled to the brim with spectacular fights reminiscent of video game cutscenes; and opener Æliens is so candy-pink it’ll make your teeth ache.
