AP wants to lift the curse she’s been stuck with by raising a thousand dollars and finding a baby lamb to sacrifice. But the journey isn't easy: as she discovers the darker parts of the place known as Trashtown, AP encounters a series of odd characters, each one weirder than the last.
Annapurna Sriram’s lush, 16mm epic reimagines the Journey of The Fool from the Tarot deck as a vivid, technicolor dream that’s as imaginative as it’s inventive. A timely critique of the society we live in as well as an embodiment of the spirit of grindhouse in the truest sense of the word, Fucktoys leans into its DIY aesthetic to build a totally believable world. At its core is AP – innocently lost in her cruel surroundings but also determined to control her own destiny. Proving the grindhouse genre still hasn’t been grinded out, Fucktoys is one-of-a-kind creation.
