Faces of Imagine: Yannis Koussim

For our latest video portrait, we sat down with director Yannis Koussim, whose Algerian horrorfilm Roqia played at Imagine last year. We spoke about Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Harry Potter and Freddy Krueger, but also about naming your monsters and avoiding jump scares by focusing on horror that is actually in the frame – like in the opening scene of Maurice Pialat’s Sous le Soleil de Satan.
