Phytography: the alchemy of plants and photographic emulsion
In this workshop you will use the chemistry of plants to make an abstract animation on 16mm film. This technique works in full daylight and you only need very simple ingredients and tools. You can see the image developing in front of your eyes and experience the unparalleled magic of film projection. The workshop will be led by Karel Doing, an experimental filmmaker who is renowned for his inventive use of the vegetal realm in cinema. No prior filmmaking experience required.
