Each month, Straight to Video presents the ultimate video
night in LAB111. Insane cult films on original VHS, from an analogue
VCR, with glitches, trailers, blood and beer! As part of the Fantastic
Alchemy festival theme, Straight to Video screens 1977’s darkly comedic
horror film Wishmaster. A horror variation on Aladdin, brimming with
sardonic humour and creative kills, with breathtaking practical effects
by Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) and charmingly dated animations.
Guest appearances by cult heroes like Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger),
Tony Todd (Candyman) and Kane Hodder (Jason), complete this 90’s
horrorfest. ‘A gem worth discovering’, according to horror site Bloody
Disgusting.
