Paul Wegener’s adaptation of the famous Jewish myth is considered a classic of German expressionist cinema, and the first in which man is confronted with a monster of his own creation.

Hunter Complex, Haarlem-based musician Lars Meijer’s project, created a score especially for this film concert. His predominantly electronic music has new age, etherical jazz and krautrock influences. De Volkskrant called his most recent album Airports and Ports ‘unparalleled, full of tranquillity and sonic comfort’. For this score he drew inspiration from Hans Landsberger’s original film score from 1920.
