After being bitten, Teddy's body starts to change. Unusual take on the werewolf myth is one of the saddest and most beautiful movies of the year.

20-year-old school dropout Teddy, living in a small village in the Pyrenees, is fascinated by a wolf that appears to be roaming around the village, killing sheep. One day Teddy is bitten. The following days he starts to notice changes in his body. Unusual take on the classic werewolf myth is one of the saddest and most beautiful movies of the year.

The werewolf is an outsider in any story, but Teddy's directors take an approach here that differs a lot from classic werewolf stories. The film recycles the archetype not only as a figure of teen angst and anxiety with elements of body horror (a body of a teenage boy turning monstrous in adolescence), but also as a social outcast. Teddy's world is pretty grim, lonely and without prospect. His newly found powers only exacerbate this and lead to an inevitable, heart-breaking Carrie style ending. Definitely one of the saddest but also most beautiful movies of the year.
